I hired the Mere Mortals band to play for my mom's 50th birthday party.  We had an intimate group of people at the party for the special occasion. The band was willing to play for as many people big or small  that we had attending.  Mark was VERY easy to work with, but most importantly he was very accommodating.  His band's music list was not a 100% suited to our party's theme, so he made sure to bring in another vocalist that could play and sing requested songs. The songs that were on the list were played with enthusiasm and a great sound.  Planning this party was very hectic and dramatic to say the least, but Mark made sure to help out in any way he could to make the music planning part easy.
All the guests commented on how good and enjoyable the band was. Most importantly the birthday girl really loved them.
We were on a tight budget so they did what they could to work with our budget.
They asked if they could bring a couple of guests which was not a problem for us. Their guests were delightful and added to the fun flavor of the party.
I would definitely refer this band to anyone who is looking for a competent and fun band.  The impressive part of the night was when the saxophone player's son, who was 9 years old, played the trumpet beautifully!
If I ever need a band, I know where I'm going.

A million thanks to you and your band for making my 50th birthday party so special with the great music you provided throughout the night.  All of my guests had a wonderful time and the dance floor was never empty!  And I’m still getting compliments about the band!  I’m so glad you reminded me to make a speech and thank my guests for coming or I would have totally forgotten since I was having such a good time myself.  The music made the party and I will definitely refer you anytime someone needs a really good band for their event!

Mark, just wanted to thank you and your band for doing such an awesome job.    You guys made the party.  Thank you also for letting our friend sit in and play the drums.  That was neat to see.  Anyway please let the rest of the band members know that you guys were awesome.  Any future functions I have, I will definitely call you guys.
