With a great dance mix of blues, blues-rock, classic rock, R&B & oldies, Mere Mortals is one of the Sacramento area’s best party bands.
Rocking Sacramento since 1999, this four piece band features an excellent blend of talent and experience.
Their lineup includes the powerful and versatile vocalist Mark Herin on lead vocals, harmonica, rhythm guitar, and percussion, the exciting lead guitar work of one of the area’s best guitarists - Angel Reyes, the driving groove bass playing of Steve Belleci or Dann Walters, in sync with the solid drum playing of Kim Nelson. With very talented optional special guests such as: Mario Perugini on saxophone, and his 10 year old son Gianni on trumpet, 17 year old Kyle Rowland on harmonica, and John Espinoza from the Groove Thang band, Brian McGuire from the Chop Shoppe band or George Pfiefer on guitar, 19 year old Will Craig on guitar and vocals, and Sasha on electric violin, Mere Mortals always treats their audience to a great performance.
Their song list includes songs by: Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, ZZ Top, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, and Van Morrison, to name a few.
Playing venues which include: Feather Falls Casino, Laughs Unlimited, the Elk Grove Sports Bar, Sierra Railroad and Sacramento River Train, Louie’s, Swabbies at Metro Marina, Capital Harness Racing at Cal Expo, Kings Games at ARCO Arena, Constable Jack's, and the Powerhouse Pub, Mere Mortals have proven that they are one of the best dance bands in the Sacramento area!
